WooCommerce packing slips and pick lists with OrderBay

Disclosure: Tillpress sells OrderBay. This guide describes OrderBay Pro 1.12.2 (the current version) as of 4 October 2026; features can change, so check the changelog.

WooCommerce has no packing slip of its own. You either print the order screen or add a plugin. This guide shows how packing slips, delivery notes and warehouse pick lists work in OrderBay Pro, one order at a time and in bulk.

Packing slip, delivery note, pick list: which one you need

DocumentWho reads itWhat it shows
Packing slipThe customer, inside the boxWhat is in the parcel. No prices. It is not a tax document.
Delivery noteThe customer or the receiving businessSame idea as a packing slip. Prices are off by default and can be turned on.
Pick listWhoever packs the ordersEvery line across the selected orders, grouped by SKU, with the total quantity and bin location.
Shipping labelThe carrierThe ship-to address, printed from the order.

Print a packing slip for one order

  1. Open the order in WooCommerce › Orders.
  2. In the OrderBay documents box, click Packing slip. It opens a print view.
  3. Use your browser’s Print, or download it as a PDF.

Since 1.12.0 OrderBay includes its own PDF engine, so a direct PDF download works on any host. Browser printing still works if you prefer it.

Print packing slips in bulk

On the Orders list, tick the orders you are shipping, then choose Print OrderBay packing slips from the Bulk actions menu and click Apply. You get one print job with a slip per order. The same menu has bulk delivery notes, shipping labels, invoices and proformas. It works on both the classic orders screen and HPOS.

Build a pick list for the warehouse

A pick list saves you walking the shelves once per order. Select the orders, choose OrderBay: warehouse pick list from Bulk actions, and OrderBay merges every line by SKU. If three orders each want two of the same mug, the list says six once and names the three orders.

To sort the list by where things sit, give each product a location. Edit the product, open the Inventory tab, and fill in Bin / location (OrderBay), for example A-03. The bin then prints next to each SKU. Products with no SKU still appear, labelled with their product ID, so nothing drops off the list.

Make the documents look like your shop

In OrderBay › Documents you can set a logo URL, the from name and address, footer text, paper size, a brand accent color, and a template style, with a live preview. Optional extras, all off until you enable them:

  • A product image column on packing slips.
  • Code 128 barcodes on invoices, packing slips and labels.
  • An order QR code on the invoice and packing slip.
  • Prices on delivery notes.

If you need a different layout, copy a template file into your theme and edit it there instead of changing the plugin.

Let customers print their own slip

Under OrderBay › Fulfillment you can allow customers to open a packing slip for their own orders from My Account. It is off by default. Only the order’s owner can open it.

What is free and what needs Pro

Sequential PDF invoices stay free, even after the trial ends. Packing slips, delivery notes, shipping labels, proformas, pick lists and all bulk printing are Pro features. They work during the 30-day trial and with an active key. Without one, OrderBay stops those documents and keeps invoicing working.
