Short version: most invoice-plugin lists compare document generators. The real question is scope: do you need documents, documents plus e-invoice XML, or the whole fulfilment desk? Match the tool to that.

How to choose

• Documents vs the whole desk. Some plugins do invoices and packing slips only. Others add tracking, returns, and aging. Buy for the workflow that is actually slow.
• E-invoicing: export vs delivery. The EU mandates need structured XML (UBL, Factur-X). Some plugins export it; fewer actually transmit over Peppol. Know which you need.
