Connect your Twilio account and send voice, SMS, and WhatsApp order notifications from WooCommerce.

OrderRing sends pickup and delivery notifications through your own Twilio account at zero markup. This guide covers install, connecting Twilio, and the main settings.

Install

  1. In WordPress, go to Plugins, then Add New, and upload the plugin ZIP from your purchase email (or download the free version from tillpress.com/lite).
  2. Click Activate.
  3. Open the plugin settings from the WordPress admin menu.

Setup

How do I connect Twilio to OrderRing?

  1. Create a Twilio account at twilio.com and buy or verify a sending number.
  2. From the Twilio Console, copy your Account SID and Auth Token.
  3. Paste both into the plugin settings and choose your sending number.
  4. Send a test message to your own phone to confirm it works.

Do I need A2P 10DLC?

If you text US mobile numbers, register your brand and campaign for A2P 10DLC in the Twilio Console, or verify a toll-free number, before sending. OrderRing does not file 10DLC for you and does not resell messaging.

Settings reference

  • Credentials: Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and sending number.
  • Triggers: which order statuses send a message (for example Ready for Pickup, Shipped).
  • Channels: SMS, automated voice, and WhatsApp (Pro).
  • Consent: checkout consent text, STOP/HELP/START keywords, and quiet hours.
  • Templates: reusable message text with order placeholders (Pro).
  • Permissions: which roles can send and view messages.

Exact field labels may vary by version.

Troubleshooting

Why is no message being sent?

Check that your Twilio credentials are correct, the sending number is active, and the order reached a status you set as a trigger. Send a test message from settings to isolate the problem.

Why are US texts failing?

Unregistered US A2P traffic is blocked by carriers. Complete A2P 10DLC registration or use a verified toll-free number.

My license expired. Did messaging stop?

No. Messaging keeps working. Only premium updates pause until you renew.
